For my architecture inspired sculpture I am making a pyramid shaped dish. I will be using it to hold my earrings or bracelets because I don't have a jewelry dish right now. It is made out of popsicle sticks and has gold foil on the bottom. I plan on painting it white with a little black.
The two studio habits of mind that I have been accessing are reflect and envision. When reflecting on this sculpture I have been able to talk with others about my ideas and can realize when my original ideas might not work. When I envision I can picture how I will pursue my next step in completing this sculpture.

Two studio habits of mind that I have worked on since my last blog post are Observe and Develop Craft. When observing I noticed that when painting my bowl I needed more of one color or I needed to Mod Poge a bowl. When having to use Mod Poge I noticed that it helped with concealing the paint so it would no longer chip. The second studio of habit that I practiced is develop craft. I worked with new materials when I tried to tissue paper one of my bowls. The tissue paper did not work so well because I could see the news paper through it so I ended up painting that bowl too.
The two studio habits that I have incorporated into my work in the past week(s) are Develop Craft and Envision. Media fair has all been about trying new media so develop craft is something that fits. I learned to use new tools and definitely how to use new materials. I had never used plaster prior to this past week, I found the plaster gauze intriguing. I liked making the bowls the most and am excited to finish /paint them. Making the subtraction sculptors helped me to used the envision studio habit. I have difficulty trying to picture something before actually making it, I found it especially difficult when the soap or foam broke off when I did not want it to. I have not had an art class since 7th or 8th grade. I like art, mostly painting, but this was the hour I had that I could take an art class and it's 3D-Art. Such is life. I think it will be interesting though, I feel as though I should have taken more art classes previously to this one because I really do like making art, it's calming and fun. I hope to learn how to make different forms of art (other than painting), it is a 3D art class after all so perhaps I will get to make something that I really enjoy. Some risks that I plan to take are trying different ways to create something. I hope to have made something that I really like and can actually display in my house or bedroom.
